A busy Saturday

Hello all, and happy Saturday. We have had a busy one. You know how you always look forward to sleeping in on a Saturday morning and catching up on that lost sleep from the week? Well, my 3 and 1 year old didn't get that message. I have to wake Taylor up at 7:00 during the week and drag her out of bed to go to the sitters house, but today she wakes up all by herself at 6:20. "Mommy.......Mommy......." Her sweet little voice calls from upstairs. I slowly make my way up the stairs and into her room. She is sitting straight up and says, "I'm ready to wake up and watch cartoons. Can I lay with you?" What do ya say? So, we laid in bed and watched cartoons this morning. I am learning to love Special Agent Oso. Not long after Taylor wakes up, Colton decides he is missing out on the party and gets daddy in the action. They hang out in the living room. Taylor and Colton in our bed usually ends up in disaster......

Let's see, so Brent and Ashley came over the pray over Colton to help him to get better and for the doctors to find answers. Then, after dropping Colton off at Happy's house, Taylor and I head to an auction in Marshal. It was fun. Taylor loved running around outside and seeing Grandma and Grandpa. The hot dogs and pie were great too!! Taylor and I bought a card table, throw blanket, and a Pampered Chef stone muffin thing, all for a total of $14. Taylor tried to bid on some other stuff, but thank goodness the auctioneers didn't take her seriously. Now we are all at home and the kids are napping. I'm getting ready to go outside and move a pile of dirt. It never ends. I wouldn't live without it.

Happy Birthday Colton!!!!

Today was a great day. We went to the our pediatrician today for the one year visit and shots. Colton weighed 13 lb 15 oz and was 27 in. long. Not much of a change, but here is the good news. The doc did not agree with Riley and feels they are not doing everything they can to figure out what is wrong with the little guy. He does not appear to have anything wrong with him except he is small and doesn't like to eat. He has requested a second opinion from St. Vincent which we will hopefully get soon. I really hope something comes of this. If the second opinion says, yes he needs a tube, I will feel better about it. God has done this because He knows how upsetting it made me to submit to the tube. Momma knows. As a mom I just feel like a tube was not the right thing. I know what everyone on the outside thinks its a good thing and I understand why. But a mom knows. I am so happy to be doing this. It will ease my mind. Now......the really really good news. Colton ate 4 bottles willingly today. He held them himself and everything!!!!! God is great! Happy Birthday little buddy. Mommy loves you!

Opinions

I have to say that many people have many opinions about my son. It's wonderful that people care and want him to be healthy and normal as much as I do, but it is so overwhelming. All I do is find myself worrying most of the day if he is eating better. Is today the day that he miraculously gets better? This is brought me closer to God and trusting him with things that I know only He can handle. Thank you Lord for a wonderful husband that loves You, our children, and me. Without him I might crumble.
Hello all. I finally got my password reset. We are having some problems with Colton since last on. He will be gettinga g-tube soon. Hopefully this will help him to gain some weight and grow. Since he doesn't like to eat anything, this is our option. Hard to believe he will be 1 tomorrow. One and weighs 13 lbs. Crazy isn't it. I have to say I'm scared and worried. What if he gets infection, becomes septic, something goes wrong with the procedure, or just doesn't act the same. He is so happy now. I couldn't ask for a better little boy. I give it to God and trust Him with my little guy.
