Late nights

Well, it's 4:30 in the morning and I'm up again with Colton. This is becoming a pretty good routine now. This morning I decided to weigh him and couldn't believe my eyes. The little fella has gained a whole pound!!! He now weighs 7.8 lbs!!! I guess all these late night feedings are paying off!!!!

Daddy got a dear!!!

Daddy shot a doe last night. Taylor was very excited and we got some great pics of her and the dear. Here is the funny part of the story. Just a couple of days ago, daddy went out hunting early in the morning. As he was walking to his tree stand he tripped over something. Well, he tripped over a doe! She was still alive and caught in a fence. He didn't know what he should do, but she looked like she was about done for, so he went ahead and shot her. He was somewhat excited b/c that was his first dear, unfortunately he happen to stumble over her. The bad part is, she had been there for too long and when they gutted her she smelled pretty bad. So, daddy didn't get to keep his first dear. The doe he got last night he actually shot from his tree stand with his bow! What a proud moment.

Family of Four

We have added a new addition to our family. Colton Jacob entered this world 10/1/08 at 3:50 pm. He weighed 6 lbs 8 oz and was 20 inches long. He has a head full of strawberry blonde hair. I love his hair. I can't stop playing with it. He is perfect little guy. He looks like a little man. Taylor loves her little brother, but gets jealous at times. She can be a little mean too. She has kicked him a couple of times! He is going to be pretty tough when he gets older. He is already rolling half way over. If he could just figure out how to get his arms out of the way he could roll all the way over.

Taylor is taking tumbling classes every Monday. She loves it. She is always jumping and climbing, so I figured she would love it. It is a mommy and me class, so I have to participate. I have someone going in my place at the moment, for obvious reasons. Taylor loves the trampoline. She is learning to take turns and to follow directions. Two areas she definitely lacks in at times. She is a great kid. She loves to go to church and see all her friends. She really loves Sunday school class and her teacher, Marcia.

Until next time........TTFN
